Oh No You Didn't!

Had a bit of a rough patch this week. First of all when I was working on my cherry swirl bag, my crochet hook broke! I couldn't believe it! It just broke in half and before I knew it I was screaming to the broken pieces in my hands going: "Oh No You Didn't!"

Luckily I have this great lovely friend who donated - not one but two! - 4mm hooks, aren't I lucky to have a friend like that? I think I am!

But that wasn't all. I suffered from insomnia as well this week. A lot.. I was so tired during the day that I would sometimes fall asleep on the couch. I couldn't go be active outside because rain kept pooring down so I was feeling a bit 'meh' all week.

On top of that, my hands got a bit of a rash and when I continued crocheting, I got little cuts from the yarn all over my hands! Guess my hands are a bit sensitive at the moment..

So I didn't make a lot of progress this week. But I did finally sew on those 2buttons on my Chocolate Fudge Cowl! Yiehay!

I came up with the design myself so I'm a bit proud, but not completely happy with the edges. Maybe next time I can think of something better. And hopefully next update I'll have some more things to show you!

Have a lovely week everybody!

Grr, tool fail! Always happens at the worst time, too!

Your chocolate fudge cowl looks scrumptious and very warm! Lucky you have the right weather to try it on. We're expecting rain tonight and tomorrow so there's relief in sight for me and my poor garden plants.

Sorry to hear about all the rough patches in your week ... here's hoping for a better one to come! I love your cowl -- it's lovely.

Hope your hands get better. Try lotion at night with gloves to give your hands time to really absorb. Love the big button, really finishes it.

Oh no, sorry about your hook!! And about your hands, that must be really frustrating- and painful! Hope they're better soon. I love the chocolate fudge cowl, it's brilliant! And your own pattern, I'm impressed! :D Laura x

It would have been amazing enough to design and make that lovely cowl without all the aggravations you've had this week!

So sorry for all your crafting grief this past week. Our weather has been a bit crap since the 4th of July, until yesterday. Here's hoping we both have summer time weather in the week to come!
I love you Fudge Cowl--will be wonderful for this winter.

Oh no! that totally sucks about the crochet hook! especially in the middle of a project. Your cowl looks awesome though I love the contrast between the colors.

Your cowl looks great and I love the color combo. Sorry about the hook :(.

You were obviously going in for 'extreme crocheting' when the needle broke. Hope you're managing to sleep, insomnia is not nice.

Thank you Underground Crafter!

Caroline, that must have been it, the needle just couldn't keep up with me ;-)

Luckily I have a new hook now, so let's crochet!

Happy crafting to you both!

Cowls aren't really my thing, but I actually like this. Maybe it's the color..which does remind me of chocolate..which is something I do enjoy eating.

:D

And also, that's so neat that you made the pattern up yourself. I'm hoping as I get better at crocheting and knitting, I can figure out how to make outfits for myself.
