It's a YoP Update!

Lovely Sunday everyone!

We finally have some sun over here in Dutchylandcity (aka Amsterdam) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way at least for a couple of days! It's getting me all happy! I feel like going on a trip somewhere nice and enjoy the sunshine!

I haven't finished any of my WIP's except my French Kiss Scarf! After I finished my Blue Kisses Scarf, I got excited and finished the French Kiss in no time!

Am I dancing? Yes!

Just like the Blue Kisses, this scarf has colorflows but then in purple shades!

I thought: "If I'm going to open an Etsy shop, one scarf would be so lonely up there!" But now I made the second one, I'm thinking "are two scarves enough"?

If anybody has advice, experience with Etsy and willing to share, please do (I can be the little grasshopper and you can be the teacher!)

Happy Crafting Everyone! x Lily

Pretty scarf! Enjoy the sunshine, we've not seen much in the UK either. Sorry, but I have no Etsy experience at all.

Wat is 'ie leuk geworden! Ik heb geen ervaring met Etsy, maar ik zou zeggen: gewoon starten! Leuk toch en de winkel raakt vanzelf wel vol! Succes!! Liefs Carolien

GoodPurl, I'll ask the sun to shine a bit on the UK too! I hope we can send some of our rain to Africa and get some sunshine in return!

Thank you Rugby, as I said: if you're interested in swapping just let me know!

Thank you Ruby, you're very sweet!

Dankjewel Lien! Ik weet dat jij ook een winkeltje wil beginnen.. best eng toch? Misschien inderdaad gewoon starten!

I have no experience with Etsy, so no help there from me. I can say that your two scarves are lovely and I would be doing a happy dance too. We just took a little 3 day trip to the eastern part of our state so we could find some summer heat and sun. Poor Seattle (where I live) is living up to its gloomy reputation, I am afraid. Good thing I have have fallish type projects to work on!
*smiles and enjoy the sun*

Love purple!!! This one is fabulous. I have no etsy selling yet but plan to open a shop soon so good luck to both of us :-)

Perfect scarf for you! Looks great!

My Etsy advice is that you generally need a large amount of marketing or it is easy to get "lost" on there. So just as you would spend x hours a week promoting your blog to get a lot of traffic, you will need to do the same for Etsy unless you sell something highly unusual (as thousands of items can show up in a search!). Good luck!

Thank you Kim! I'm happy to hear you got get a little break from gloominess and enjoy the sun!

MMOS, thank you very much!

How exciting Hippywitch! I'll drop by your blog later to read more about your shop!

Thank you Sarah, that's very sweet of you!

That's great advise Underground Crafter, I think you're absolutely right in easily getting 'lost' on Etsy!

Thank you very much Sarah! :)

What a beautiful color choice. I wish I had some etsy advice for you, but, I haven't set up a shop there yet.
